The Hadikgasse 64, 1140 Vienna, a historic city villa over 100 years old, has recently undergone a complete renovation and transformation into a state-of-the-art coworking space. This project not only blends historical charm with modern architecture but also provides an excellent case study comparing traditional planning methods with our innovative, technology-driven approach at Cloud NYNE.
Traditional Planning: Time-Consuming and Costly
At the start of the project, we requested quotes from various surveying companies to measure, document, and create the foundational plans for the renovation using traditional methods. The offers ranged from €6,400 to €9,260, with the lowest bid being selected.

However, the results took time to arrive: The surveyor required a full month to deliver basic 2D DWG plans, including a cross-section and a site plan. This is typical in the construction and planning industry, where manual surveying and long processing times are the norm.

Cloud NYNE: Efficient, Cost-Effective, and Modern
In contrast, we at Cloud NYNE applied our own system, leveraging cutting-edge technology such as LiDAR scanners and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Our process included complete 3D building scans, point cloud modeling, and the creation of BIM data.
Thanks to our technology, we were able to deliver a complete model, including 2D plans and 3D BIM files (.rvt, .ifc, .pln), within just three working days. Our BIM model not only allowed for real-time generation of cross-sections, views, and floor plans but also provided a much more accurate and flexible foundation for the renovation.
In terms of cost, our system came in at €3.900, significantly lower than the traditional offers. Moreover, we saved an entire month in delivery time, and the comprehensive data we provided significantly accelerated and optimized the entire planning process.
A Comparative Overview
Aspect | Traditional Process | Cloud NYNE Process |
Cost | €6,400 | €3,900 |
Delivery Time | 1 Month | 3 Working Days |
Delivered Data | 2D DWG Plans, Cross-sections, Site Plan | 2D DWG, 3D BIM (.rvt, .ifc) |
Accuracy | Limited | High (BIM Model) |
Planning Foundation | 2D Data | 3D BIM Data, LiDAR Scanning |
The Key Advantage: BIM and LiDAR
The biggest difference was in the quality and availability of the planning data. Traditional 2D plans offer limited information and often require manual adjustments during the renovation planning. In contrast, the BIM model contains all relevant information in a dynamic format. Sections, views, and even material quantities can be generated in real-time, significantly streamlining the renovation process.
Additionally, the BIM model enabled seamless collaboration between architects, engineers, and contractors, as all parties had access to the same data. The LiDAR-based capture ensured that even the smallest details were accurately recorded and processed.
Conclusion: Time and Cost Savings Through Innovation
Our project at Hadikgasse 64 demonstrates how modern technology can not only speed up the planning process but also make it significantly more cost-effective. With 39% lower costs and a time saving of one month, our approach is clear proof that digitalization in construction is not just a future vision but a tangible advantage today.

The Cloud NYNE solution stands out for its efficiency, flexibility, and attention to detail, and it is a game-changer in elevating construction planning and execution to a whole new level.
